I'm glad syringe training has helped. I keep telling my self that I need to start that with Elvis. I bet Jazzy is helping too. :)
Of course he only takes the syringe from Kim, he looks at me and laughs. Harley definitely gets jealous if he hears me giving Jazzy attention over him...maybe a type of model/rival training like Dr. Pepperberg used to train Alex?

I've been lucky...both Cassie and Milton were already syringe trained when they came here...of course, Milton likes to chew on the syringe, so you have to be extremely cautious when doing it.

Milty ALWAYS has to make things difficult...
Milton has to keep you on your toes!

Don't know how I missed this thread but I am sorry about what Harley has been going through. I truly hope that an excellent solution can be find and that Harley will get better and better with every passing day. At least he is doing better with the syringe and sounds like you have a great vet.

Thank you! It’s been a rough journey but I’m staying optimistic, if for nothing else but for Harley to pick up on. He has good days and bad days and I can tell my boy is still in there somewhere. I’m causioustly optimistic that the new meds and hearing Jazzy are having some kind of effect. And it definitely helps to have a vet who’s so dedicated to him and finding a solution- and who I can talk to at practically any time via email or Facebook.

You can never go wrong with a good peach on a nice day. He looks like he intent on whatever is outside. I hop everything works out for the best with him and the new medications will help him to be the bird you remember.

For all his troubles, Harley is so lucky to have a parront like you!

It's clear you have no intention on ever giving up, so between you and your awesome vet, I'm sure you will get to the bottom of it and help Harley be the happy, friendly, healthy bird you remember.
