Yay!?!

It will be good! Diego has completely full flight now, and he's SO good at it! I can't wait until the rest of Petunia's grow in!

Blu still has only 1 wing feather.

Now, I'm not worried or stressed about it ( @JLcribber :watching:) but I'm just curious why the other wing hasn't grown in symmetrically?

Because they were all hacked off at once. The protocol for replacing wing feathers (1 or 2 at a time) is the same until they are all fully grown back in.

At that point is they lose one you won't even know which one it was until the blood feather shows itself.

3 clipped flight feathers came out this week!
How long does it take for new ones form?
Can you see a pin feather? I found it takes 1-2 weeks for a pin feather to grow in after they lose it. Sometimes more however.

2 more clipped feathers dropped today!:batnana: Woo hoo!

6 total new primaries, so far, in 2 1/2 months. This has been such a long molt but I'm excited for him. Can't wait to see the new ones form. I'm hoping these two came out of the right wing cause so far it's only been on the left.
