Have my parrotlet a gram stain with a crop swab he has some neg bacteria, so he was put on antibiotics, the results didn’t include the % of bacteria what test does that? Is it a culture and sensitivity of the crop or something elese ?

The gram stain would show the percentage of negative bacteria. It won't show what specific bacteria it is or what antibiotics are best to fight that specific bacteria. That's a culture sensitivity.

Thanks for sharing, I really think when we share more information, it can be more helpful to others down the line . It can even be helpful to ourselves if we document a health issue from start to finish.
Tracking weight during a health issue, has been important for me.

What antibiotics was your bird started on?
How's your birdie today?

Gram negative bacteria are mostly consider abnormal. I've seen tests results as given positive for, negative none seen, or results given as few/mod/many, and as % like you mentioned.

This links you to a nice avain test explanation, but it's pdf

CROP
a 4+ Gram Positive Rods 3+ Gram Positive Cocci
a Gram stain results based on these criteria: Rare = <=1 organism/HPF
1+ = 2-5 organisms/HPF
2+ = 6-10 organisms/HPF
3+ = 11-20 organisms/HPF
4+ = >20 organisms/HPF
Rare Gram negative rods

Do you no anything about a midog test
