Goodbye Stella Blue

Not a bird, but my family just had to put down our 12 yr old golden retriever yesterday... I grew up with Stella and she was always such a gentle, kind soul. Her two favorite things were tummy rubs and food. She was always the best at cuddling and provided such endless, unconditional love. She will be missed.

I am so sorry for your loss of Stella Blue. I grew up with goldies, one was moose huge male named Raggsie. he was 120 lbs. of pure love. but he had epilepsy that was beyond control even with meds. his seizures were horrible and my dad was concerned that he would have one in the duck boat or the water and die from it. the seizures were daily and 5 to 10 times a day. my parents had him put down. we wait several years b/4 we got another goldie, named Raggs. he was slight and Irish setter red and more my protector. if I took him with me, not a single person had the guts to tease me, becuz his reaction was to get very grumpy tude and growl deep in his chest. he was fence jumper and would disappear over night to be with his girlfriends. I was in jr high when he disappeared one night. we looked and looked for him. I went to school in the morning and there is my dog running in the hallways. I called him to me, took my belt and looped it thru his collar. I had a friend hold him while I called my mom to come and get him. I was late to class but I had my buddy back. I cried for days after he died. 's to you .

Oh, I'm so sorry. She seems like a great dog! I know how rough it is to have to put down your dog, I've been through it twice myself. I'm sure she was happy she got to spend her life with such a wonderful family.
