As sad and sorry as you all are for your loss (and I have lost some of my fids), I would beg you and your family to keep your heart(s) open to another feathered companion or two. You never know what little birdy or birdies may need your help. Losing a much loved birdy is never easy and never forgotten. This advice is coming from someone who lost a very much loved Quaker, Kiwi (RIP), my avatar several years ago to pneumonia. I took her in as soon as I knew something was off, but it was too late to make a comeback. Remember your love, your happy and funny times and consider helping out another fid who may need some TLC and a loving family.
