My Linnie Gigi is 3 months old now and is starting to imitate some sounds. When I say "Gimme a kiss" and do the kiss sound, she does it back. Also she does the "Come Here" whistle that I do often to her. This happened in the last few days. I thought I might have heard both and am sure now. My husband was a witness. 
Looking forward to what she might imitate next.
Do your birds talk or imitate sounds? It's fascinating to me. I had a Mynah in the 80's that was an amazing talker. He had many sounds and phrases in his routine. He sounded just like a person, maybe on a bad quality radio.
