Have used one for a few years now on the dogs and the cats when we had them. Would not be without it and think it saves a lot of loose hair from ending up on the floors of the house. Besides that the dogs love me using it on them and nearly go to sleep!

There's nothing quite like it for getting to the undercoat.

I have never used the newer blades for different hair lengths. We have the old regular purple headed cat one as well as a medium DOUBLE BLADED model. I love my furminators. I have 5 free range animals. 2 of the cats do better with the Love Glove usually when the FURminator.

ours is the purple cat model

I have one and like it a lot! You just have to make sure that you're paying attention to what you're doing, since they are blades, it's possible to over comb an area and make them a little bald (but I imagine it would be rather difficult to do, I've never done it). And you'll want to make sure that mats are already brushed out, I don't think this is the proper tool to do that with...

Best money I ever spent on my dogs and cats... and it's even great for getting the fur off the couch. I bought mine back before there were different ones for different coats, it's worked well on everyone I've tried it on.

:D Thank you very much everybody. Will purchase one for my god cat Tuxedo. His mom is my best friend and I purchased him for her a few years ago. I am not really a cat person but it was love at first sight because he was such a big ball of love, friendliness and positivity. He could certainly be a dog and I LOVE dogs.:p

He is an exotic persian.:D
