Don't worry about being the "old crazy bird lady". We know the feeling...:) I found a budgie 2 years ago where I work. I brought him home. He is still with me and will stay with me. Having cockatiels and a lovebird - I got him a friend - another budgie. They are both males and get along well together.

Actually, it's better to have more males than females! Females can be down right little *bleeps*! lol If they aren't breeding, it shouldn't be as big of a deal... but yeah, I'd recommend getting another male! Either look for another pink cere, or a very obvious *very* blue cere! Not partially blue as that would be female! But all blue!

Yes another male will be fine.
Males get along fine together but not females.
