He's 1250, which is pretty big for a B&G. He feels solid when he's sitting on your arm.

There's a reason there are so many BG's. It's not because they are just common or cheap. I have one of just about every species of the large macaws. The words I would use to describe my two that I wouldn't use to describe the rest, they have an interactive sense of humor and are very forgiving.

The reason people recommend them as easier than the rest is the fact that they really wear their feelings on the outside. All moods can be, for the most part, seen in their feathers and body language clearly. If you screw up, they forgive rather quickly. People often say they are known for bluffing/lunging but what most people don't realize is that another species wouldn't bother in that same instance, they just bite.
