Finding a Breeder from a Band

Posting this for the rescue. If anyone has more information please let me know and I will forward it to them.


(This little guy came in yesterday, the only thing we were told was his name which is Quaker Oats. We are guessing he is a baby based on the head, and as you can see he has a tail chewing issue currently.)

Is the NC sideways? If so breeder is in North Carolina. You can always contact the AFA.

Yes, i i think AFA bands are registered, if so they should be able to give you information.

Idk if it’ll help but the band on Rio was STC NC. His breeder was in NC

I posted he was a roseifrons and not a cheekie in FB. I'm guessing though that he is over a year based on some red on his head. Babies are generally very dark. Julip at 5 had her little red head. Jim has a roseifrons from a baby...I cannot remember his user name.

Hopefully the AFA will have his band number.

Maybe the STC could stand for Something Cheeky. They are a breeder in NC who raise Pyrhurras, rosifrons are mentioned on their site as a species they raise.

Yeah they are located in Clayton, NC. I got Rio from them

Yes they don't reuse band initials so if it says STC NC and @alshgs has a bird with that band and knows the breeder she got it from, then there really isn't a question anymore

“Had” a bird from them. The vet still isn’t sure that it was genetics that caused Rios liver and kidney issues.

They don’t ship though, so I wonder how one if theirs got all the way out there.

And I know it’s not there fault intentionally, but I don’t even like to hear their name now. I miss Rio so freaking much
