Feathers

Hey guys. So a few days ago I found my budgie Chibis feathers on the floor of his cage and I picked them up. He lost them in a lot of flap flapping which he was doing before that. Anyways, I heard that u can tell a birds health and happiness etc from just thier feathers. So can anyone of u who has experience reading thier buddies feathers tell me what are his saying? Because I am a little inexperienced in that here haha. Thank you!

You can see the historic health of your budgie rather than current health. It's a record of your budgies health when that feather was growing. The surface can be tested for certain minerals/oils to tell the health of the preen gland and certain vitamin levels but that's about it I'm afraid.
Obviously wear and tear shows, but that's more about environment and mood than health.
