I guess this isn't new but I didn't know about it and have been feeding my dog these treats. 
FDA Investigates Animal Illnesses Linked to Jerky Pet Treats
I never thought to check where the treats come from. The unopened bag I have is going to be returned. It's just not worth it if so many pets are being made ill. I know any product can have complaints but if the FDA is looking that hard at the treats then that is too many complaints for safety.
I looked at the other dog treats and some do say they are manufactured in the US but some don't and most don't say where the ingredients come from. I have a question in on the website for Dick Van Pattens Limitted Ingredients Treats. The website for Zukes treats says manufactured in the US and says where the ingredients come from so I feel safe with that. The Wellness Jerky treats say manufactured in the US but doesn't say where the ingredients come from.
