Fast growing beak? Help

I'm new here and i'm sorry if this is not the right place for this
I have a 6 year old Rosella Hybrid who bruised his beak last year, my vet told me there was no damage and to just let it grow out, in last couple of months the discoloration disappeared and his beak grew really fast. I took him to the vet last week to have it trimmed (they took off almost 50% it was so long) and it has already grown a noticeable amount...Can anyone please help me know whats going on?

The fast growth could be just because of the damage to it or it could be liver and/or kidney issues. You might want to take him in had have some blood tests run to be sure.
