Fëanor's first flight!!

I am so excited! Fëanor's wings had been Clipped when I adopted him, sadly. He was flighted before, so he attempted to fly quite a lot. I trained him to fly to my hand and a perch, and he learned really quick and started to fly small distances, even upwards as soon as he had one flight feather on each wing. He improved a lot and coordinated his flighted pretty well! Today I took them to the living room and he flew like 5 meters upward to the top of the door! He has three flight Feathers(primaries) on one wing and two on the other now. He was sitting in front of the window and I went to the Kitchen to put my plate there. Henkie flew to the top of the door and suddenly I heared Fëanor fly as well, so I quickly ran back and there he was, staring down at me from the top of the door! I am so pround and so happy that he is regaining his full flight again!

Me too! When I was corresponding with his previous owners I asked if he was Clipped, that was not the case so I decided that I would adopt him, but I had to wait a month before I could pick him up. Because he was difficult to handle they Clipped his wings the week before I picked him up he really hated it and I want him to fly really badly so I am so happy that e molted this quickly! I assumef he would be disabled for at least half a year, I am so happy that is not the case

And thank you both! I Will tell them I am not the only one who thinks they make a Great couple They are not yet cuddling together, but they do all sorts of activities together and already know a Healthy amount of brotherly jealousy of each other

Thank you! He is Unstoppable, e was sitting on the shower perch while I was drying my hair around the corner, and he succesfully flew to me again

Thank you! Fëanor is now a very good flier, he still needs to grow in a couple flight feathers, but he can fly around corners and in circles already! I am so happy he molted so quickly
