This forum is for advice about initial treatment given to your injured/sick bird until a qualified avian veterinarian is available. THIS IS NOT MEANT TO REPLACE VET CARE
Could someone please tell me of some eye drops for birds? It's for my cockatiel. Maybe some conjunctivitis eye drops, antibiotic eye drops, antibacterial eye drops, etc. Thanks so much!
You were already told in the other thread that just buying eye drops and using them without a veterinary diagnosis is not a good idea. You say feathers are getting in your birds eyes so I fail to see how any of the above listed drops could possibly help your situation.
You need to know what the actual cause of the problem is before you start medicating. You may even cause further serious problems or cause irreparable damage and even resistance to medicines etc by using the wrong meds. Eye issues should never been diagnosed or experimented with at home- eyes are always a qualified vets area!!
If you do not know exactly what is bothering your birds eye then you need to find out before administering the wrong thing and causing further problems.
If you can, contact your vet and ask if they take CareCredit. It’s a credit card you can apply for for a one time vet expense. That’s how I used it and at the time I had zero credit. It saved my butt!
