Estimating Age

Hello everyone, I am new here. I have a little blue parrotlet that we have had for just over 2 years. He came in to my clinic as a stray and I wpuld love to know even a rough estimate of how old he is. He is missing a thumb from what I can only imagine were his aventures "on the road". Any hints on how to estimate age?

Unfortunately, unless he has a legband with a hatch year, there's no way to tell a bird's age beyond just "juvenile" or "adult."

Unfortunately unless they're babies, you can't really estimate age.

I've heard it's common enough for parrotlets to bite off eachother's toes, since they can get really territorial, so maybe he was previously living with other parrotlets? Either way I'm sure he appreciates being adopted!
