I'm sooooo excited you guys!!! I've been MIA recently because I've been extremely busy getting ready for the arrival of my new English budgies. This past week alone, hubby and I drove for 4 days, 2,000 km, and way too may hours! I came home with 8 English budgies from two different breeders.

You'll have to excuse the sub-par pics, the best lighting I could get at the moment was in my mom's bathroom. LOL

Breeder #1 was close to my mom's place, so we got to spend some time with her and take a break from driving. I picked up 4 male birds from him, and I couldn't be happier with them!

This is "Barristan", best in class 2015 at the Canadian National show

"Storm"

"Viserion"

"Turk"

The second breeder is probably my new favourite person on the planet. He is a total wealth of information, and we've been emailing back and forth for weeks. His birds are a lot of $$$, and I was only supposed to get three from him, (and I was already over budget!). I had a hard time deciding ahead of time if I wanted one of his Cinnamon hens, or a DF Spangle hen.

After we met, he decided that he would GIVE ME the DF hen for free ! :) :) :) He's seen my birds, my set up, my bird room, know's my daily care and routine for all my birds, and knows that she will be in good hands with me.

Here is "Chili", one of his prize winning males 2016

His mate is "Pepper"

Here is the Ciinnamon hen, that I don't have a name for yet, so I've just been calling her "Cinnamon"

And finally, my show stopping "Razzle Dazzle", the DF Spangle hen.

Help I am melting fast after seeing these beauties. Razzle Dazzle is overwhelmingly a beautiful budgie.
You are going to be one busy lady for a while.

I see some of them have the same issues my birds do with pin feathers growing on or near the top of cere. They seem to get pin feathers on their heads quite often and for Murphy he rubs them on perches to the point of raw skin. If you find any solutions please let me know.

Congratulations on these budgies.

Thanks! You know how long I've been waiting for this! :)

Pin feathers are always an issue, especially on the bigger birds. For now, I'll be offering daily baths and mist to help those little painful pinnies.

Just a quick pic of this beauty this morning, she still doesn't have a name...but she reminds me of Marilyn Monroe (Who I LOVE!)
She's looking less frazzled and out of sorts, now that she's settled into her new home.
Those throat spots are to die for! !

They are super calm and laid back, but I wouldn't consider them tame like how I normally sell my chicks. They will step up and allow me to move them around when I needed to, and they certainly don't freak out or flap around the cages as I clean or change food and water. They just chill out and watch what I'm doing, instead of having a panic attack, which is awesome! Their personalities are exactly what I was hoping for.

They are also all eating veggies, egg food, sprouts, birdie bread and millet. The only thing I have to work on is getting them onto pellets.

Sounds tame to me. If some were show birds they do need to be calm on the move & with people looking at them

Stepping up is really good!!!

Viserion's colors are amazing & I like Storm too...well my favs but they are all so proper!

I luv English B! :fairy2:
