Oh wow! That definitely makes me feel better! Thank you for letting me know!Rudy sheds off "beak skins" half the size of his beak!
you're welcome!Oh wow! That definitely makes me feel better! Thank you for letting me know!
Aww, thank you so much! I'm so glad to know this is normal!Rocky breaks or sheds huge pieces of her beak too
Blu is gorgeous and I’m glad he’s eating and acting fine and dandy!
Thank you too! You guys are the best!Pretty baby, don’t worry Mom, his beak looks like it will be just fine.
Thank you so much! When I got home yesterday his beak looked great and he ate wonderfully. I forgot to take a pic and he's sleeping now but, yeah, it seems to have been just a natural flaking.Wow that was a nice big chunk.
Burt gets some ripper flakes every now and then but never at the tip. That must have been such a worry for you.
I’m glad to hear it’s gonna be ok.
Blu is just so handsome
Gizmo broke off a large thin piece of beak once and it was a bit sore for a few days but didn't bleed except a tiny bit. She was totally fine
Also I've never heard that once you start to dremel you have to do it the rest of their lives. Ripley came to me with a really overgrown beak. It was dremeled and he's been maintaining it himself since, even with a crooked beak
All of my birds have had a cosmetic dremel at least once in their lives!
