Does the ability to whistle relate to mutation?

As per my other posts, i am getting a baby male pied cockatiel.

Does it matter about the mutation with their ability to whistle? For example, at the place they have a cage with a few adult cockatiels and the normal grays seem to whistle while the Lutinos are super quiet.

Are the Lutinos male or female? Male 'tiels tend to whistle more than females. Don't know if whistling ability has anything to do with mutation/coloring. I wouldn't think so but then....????

I don't think so. I grew up with a male lutino who was very vocal. It's possible they were hens, as they're generally quieter than males, as @iamwhoiam stated.
