Quite possibly? It makes me sad. :( I know everyone tried to do what they could, and I don't know what more could have been done, but I still feel like we failed Anne.

I think we failed Anne also.

Can someone search threads to see where the birds were turned over to?

Her birds were not in very good shape when they were picked up. I'll look it up but I seem to remember someone picking up one or more and then not being able to keep them.

What happened was people got all wound up. The daughter was irritated, so she took the birds and gave them to an aviary for senior birds.
She wouldn't tell anyone where.

It is so sad. I was hoping that Anne's birds would have had a soft landing.

I don't remember where her daughter said she turned the birds over to. I think I recall her saying it was a rescue for older tiels. She didn't tell where, either. I dunno, I have a feeling they're with Anne.

We did not fail Anne,,,Dub failed her. She was mentally and emotionally abused by him..she was also financially dependent on him ...I can't even count the hours I was on the phone with her,,only allowed to call after @$$ho(*...went to work.
.when her health started to fail...he , and only he gave up on her...none of us ever failed her. We helped her the best we could..we sent her food, money, cages..the daughter was in charge of the birds and she did what she thought was best..true some former members here called and harassed the store where Sam, And Maxwell were,,,dont know about Baby.. one, inpaticular..who first adopted the bird's,,only to become a marder..and bad mouthed our Anne... she disappeared from the forum along time ago..Thank God. So you see,,,WE DID NOT fail Anne... I dearly hope those birds have a good home, if not, I pray they are with our beautiful Anne at the rainbow bridge.. dont anyone feel bad, your all awsome..

Totally agree with you...we didn't fail Anne. She and I communicated many times, and she knew the love we all had for her. My wife also talked with her many times...they are both cancer survivors, which gave them a strong bond and friendship.
I've been following the situation in Hamilton...it saddens my heart so. Hopefully Sam, Maxwell, and Baby have wonderful, loving homes..or if they've left this plane of existence, we know that they're safe with Anne...

I am gathering that Anne passed to see the birds at the rainbow bridge. I hope she and her birds have had a happy journey to where ever they landed. Sad story. Is one of the reasons I worry about Louise, she will outlive me and I work everyday to make sure she has a happy life and is in a good position to be adopted by an incredible parront. Bird guardianship is incredibly challenging, the day to day and the great beyond... The folks on this board and how they care and help is outstanding. No other board is as cool as this one, the membership is made of incredibly caring folks.
