About this time of day, the little bees curl up in the Globe Mallow to sleep, the flower closes up around them, protecting them. These flowers are about the size of a Nickel when fully open, so you can guess the size of these adorable bees.

During the summer months in the early morning I sometimes find solitary bees and wasps sleeping on the flowers.
