Z like the ZZ from buzz. Ar like Car. A like the first A in away.
The problem the Spanish have is the pronunciation of the Z. They either call me Thara or Sara. They can´t make the harsh Z sound. I have accepted that I am now Thara. haha.
Im sure if you google video clips from the English news, there will be somehing talking about either the ZARA shop or the Princess Zara.

Here´s a link, that´s how my name is pronounced :)

And now I'm on a computer and can post a pic of what I meant earlier today. (when I'm was on a spinning bicycle at the gym. :p )
If the toe is placed backwards it's not 100% going backwards, so keep an eye on that joint for blood circulations sake.

Yea, I thought that was what you meant. I have had him hold a wooden perch. It´s very fiddly to do it but he will hold it, and it doesn´t double the toe over like in that picture where its bent back. So maybe this is better than the cardboard shoe... but will it be enough to fix it?
I´m just hoping for the best, I really am! :(

If you can keep doing that regularly you might eventually be able to get her toes "straight".
I´m just so hoping so! He fought hard to make it and we fought hard to keeep him here... I hope with the same determination we can fix his feet!

When I see those pics I change my mind and say that their is still hope.

How does it feels when you move that toe?
More or less resistance then in the other ones?
It looks in one pic as their is no bone in that hole toe, I'm I correct?

I´m not sure about resistence. the toes are so fragile and light it´s hard to tell.
I will say that i can gently maniulate them and get him to grab my finger or the perchand he does not cry or whimper. The problem is that every morning or after his sleeps I feel we are back to square one...

I´m not sure what you mean about no bone in the hole?

Or whole toe?
His toe feels like all the other toes. I don´t know if that helps

I know this will sound majorly weird but when I first saw how messed up Sif’s feet were, I had a breeder friend suggest a multitude of small circular things for Sif to grasp. He’s obviously passed W-tip size, so the next thing would be an unused tampon. They are usually cylindrical in shape, small and narrow so you could try to have him practice on something like that. You should be able to find one small/thin enough while still practicing the proper gripping technique. And with those he may be able to get his entire foot around it comfortably so you can reinforce the proper setting to hopefully give his foot the muscle memory needed to retain it to the next day etc. Just a thought.

Thanks for your input!
I feel like every day I am back to square one. I'm not giving up.
First I use my finger and make him grab on. Very fiddly. Then after a few minutes let go. Then repeat. After a while I give him the perch to hold. I don't perch him on it, I cradle his weight by holding his body.
I feel like a tampon may be a similar size to this perch. The perch is smaller at the ends and a bit thicker towards the screw. Do you think the softer texture would help?
I'm open to all suggestions here ❤
