Does anyone know what small pets such as chinchillas, hedgehogs, rabbits, mice, would be safe or not safe around a GCC? I know some of them may carry diseases that may get the bird sick, but which ones would be considered safe? I want to get a small pet but I don't want to put my GCC in danger!

No other species are technically safe unless they're separated 100% of the time with no means of coming into contact with each other. Mammals especially are dangerous in the case of a bite or scratch, as we all carry gram negative bacteria that parrots' bodies cannot fight.

All rodents and small mammals can be carriers for disease, but as long as you wash thoroughly between interactions, and don't house them close together, the likeliness of bacteria such as Salmonella being spread is very minimal.
