OK so i have this little fluffy tent (Its not the happy hut brand, Im not sure what brand because i got it a while ago and removed the tag) I kind of bought it on impulse and did the research afterwards, After learning that these tents could be potentially harmful i decided to not put it in her cage - but then the vet told me it would be fine? Are these little tents OK or harmful? Also at night she burrows underneath the paper towels. Is this OK or should i put a grate in?? Any answers would be appreciated!

They're okay. Check them everyday to make sure no strings are there.

I understand that the fluffy tents aren't good for hormonal females.

I would get rid of it. They pose too much risk. Strangulation and impaction are not uncommon. They can also promote nesty behaviour.
