Crusts around nose?

Earlier Harper had this crusty stuff around his nose. I got it off but it was stuck for a while. Under the skin seemed to be a bit pink-ish as well. There’s not crusty stuff now but I got super scared and started crying. Can someone tell me if this has happened to your bird?

It's hard to say what it was without pictures, but I would recommend taking Harper to an avian vet to get him or her checked out. There's always a risk it could be scaly mites, or it could just be normally peeling associated with molting. I know worrying about a bird's health can be stressful. Hopefully Harper's okay!

Could be dried mucous from the nasal passages. Vet visit is good idea.

It came off, it has something to do with molting. He’s fine though.
