Unless they have Teflon they should be safe. None of the ones I've seen do.

As long as there is no teflon in them they should be safe. Mine is so old I got it before teflon was invented - LOL.

The basic theory of a crock pot is that it uses cockery (if that's the word) to cook. I know newer crock pots are metal, but the premise is still the same...slow cooking over a period of time...

I use Insta Pot, it is multi -functional and has a SS insert.

They're all safe as in they don't have PTFE or PFOA. The lids get extremely hot and will burn your bird if landed on. Get an older one if you can... the new ones get nuclear hot and burn/overcook everything :(
