Crazy noise

Fritz makes this CRAZY noise. Only when he is playing with fabric, otherwise we never hear this noise! Does anyone else's bird make this sound? He loves to play with this shirt, I took away all blankets/shirts for a bit and it made him super sad, so now he gets only occasional blanket/shirt play time and I think we've found our happy medium!

I would say with consider both the sound and his spreading feathers that it is a exited sound. And why not a happy exited sound.

I assumed it was, but it's good to have my assumption backed up lol. He never sticks his head feathers up and "asks"/waits for me to grab it and play.
@Hankmacaw he will occasionally growl and it cracks me up! Macaws are so strange

Lol oh no! Do your birds make the same noise? A friend was over earlier who owns a few birds and was like "I've never heard that sound come out of a bird..."
I like her as a person, but I sometimes question her animal advice

Yes, I have two birds that make high pitched squeals with blankets. One is my GW Rosie and my BG Korbel learned it from her.

Dobby, a Maxi, does something kinda similar when he's trying to talk my sister into something, she's his favorite. It's kinda a whine, laugh, noise, kinda BUUUR BUR BURRR BUR and variations. Never heard another Maxi make it and I've had a few so far.

Milton will "trash-talk" the empty soda bottle when we play "attack and fetch"....most of the time it's "too-talk"(gibberish) but sometimes it borders on nastiness...
