Crazy chickens...

Today my mom made waffles. There were some left over, so she suggested I feed them to the chickens. One went in with Duchess and Duke, another went to May, Shadow, and Doctor Bird, yet another went to the oldest babies, and the last one went in with the youngest babies. Now the chicks are lined up, their heads stuck through the bars, staring at me like something out of The Exorcist. I guess I can kiss my chance of sleeping tonight goodbye. Who knew fluffy three-week-old chickens could be that dang creepy?!

If you need me, I'll be in the corner, with a flashlight in one hand, and my cell phone in the other. And if the brooder has a padlock on the door, it was done for the good of humanity.

Sadly, I did not get any pics of them doing their exorcist thing, but here the peeps are being much less creepy.

And to add to the crazy, May singled-handedly caused a canine stampede with only a piece of toast. They were at the food bowl, and she ran straight at them with said toast. The poor dogs thought she was going to attack them, and managed to spark a minor dog fight in the ensuing chaos.

Speaking of adorable fluffiness and waffles, Professor Bird is now making the rounds on Facebook as the 'I can haz wafflez?' chicken.
