Isn't the PM box the same as the inbox? That's only 12% full. I can't figure out what the PM box is if that's not it. LOL
Do you by any chance have me blocked...I am unable to PM you at all.

Did Marie fix your settings? I'm thinking you may have it set to only receive pm's from Admin.

I'm going to have to extend the time for getting answers in as my PMing seems to be having a breakdown. So, I hope Sunday @ 5 PM DST is fair.

I'm very surprised not more people participated, which was kind of discouraging. Who wants this to continue? I figured with the increase in funds for a charity/rescue doubling that more people would give this a shot. ;)

Other than yourself and the person who won, there were no other respondents. Who knows, I may ask this one again at some point, so if I continue with this people need to learn. ;)

@Anne & Gang won. She had all the correct answers. She added one that I thought was incorrect it she was absolutely correct.

Here are the answers:

Robert Fortenbaugh (1948)
(Out of print.)

Nine Capitals details why the Continental Congress, Congress under the Articles of Confederation, and the U.S.

Chronological Table of the Capitals

First Continental Congress

September 5, 1774 to October 24, 1774:
Philadelphia, Carpenter’s Hall

Second Continental Congress

May 10, 1775 to December 12, 1776:
Philadelphia, State House

December 20, 1776 to February 27, 1777:
Baltimore, Henry Fite’s House

March 4, 1777 to September 18, 1777:
Philadelphia, State House

September 27, 1777 (one day):
Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Court House

September 30, 1777 to June 27, 1778:
York, Pennsylvania, Court House

July 2, 1778 to March 1, 1781:
Philadelphia, College Hall, then State House

Congress under the Articles of Confederation

March 1, 1781 to June 21, 1783:
Philadelphia, State House

June 30, 1783 to November 4, 1783:
Princeton, New Jersey, “Prospect,” then Nassau Hall

November 26, 1783 to August 19, 1784:
Annapolis, Maryland, State House

November 1, 1784 to December 24, 1784:
Trenton, New Jersey, French Arms Tavern

January 11, 1785 to Autumn 1788:
New York, City Hall, then Fraunce's Tavern

Congress under the Constitution

March 4, 1789 to August 12, 1790:
New York, Federal Hall

December 6, 1790 to May 14, 1800:
Philadelphia, Philadelphia County Building–Congress Hall

November 17, 1800:
Washington, U.S. Capitol

Source: Robert Fortenbaugh, The Nine Capitals of the United States, page 9.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now, Fortenbaugh missed one Capital City. Leesburg, VA was briefly the capital of the US at the beginning of the War of 1812. This was the capital that I, originally thought was incorrect, but after some research, I believe Anne and gang is correct!
Kudos! Let me know where you want the funds sent. ;)
PS: the information I posted was from the United States Senate Virtual Reference Desk.
funny story about that...We had to memorize those in grade school many many moons ago....and if we got them wrong we either got hit on the fingers or head with the teacher's pointer..so there was a lot of inspiration to get them right..lol
