How does one deal with constant squawking?

Is it squawking or screaming? Cockatiels tend to make a lot of noise when they're happy or playing, but if it's screaming then your best bet is giving your 'tiel something to occupy himself with.

Does he have a lot of toys? Does he get a lot of interaction with you? The more info we have, the easier it'll be for us to offer advice.

Many cockatiels will contact call for you when you are not in the room. I find that having them in the main part of the house and having some sort of a routine with them helps. They should also have a big cage with a lot of toys.
