A month ago, a good friend of mine told me about a parrot she was pet-sitting over the week. Bleeding heart that I am, today I bought a new cage for my friend's friend's bird. Who I've never met and is in a different state entirely... That's normal, right?

Next goal, get some toys in there and talk the owner into a better diet.

The amazon was basically dumped on the new owner last year and he doesn't have a clue how to take care of him. But he seems willing to learn and that's enough for me.

When we adopted Luna from the rescue, we upgraded him to a larger cage than the one he had because I was told he had escaped from his old cage a couple of times before and would be found chilling out in one of the empty macaw cages

I think we all hate to see birds in small cages and not getting a proper diet. Thanks for helping out! The new cage is a drastic improvement.
