Cockatiels only eating pellets at night?

I give my two cockatiels a food dish with seeds on one side and pellets on the other. So one tablespoon seeds, one pretty bird pellets and one Tropicana pellets.

During the day I only see them eating their seeds, same before I put them to sleep. Only the seeds are eaten.

However, in the morning when I uncover them I see that the pellets and seeds got mixed up and that overall there are less pellets.
They are not on the bottom of the cage so I assume they are eating them.

Is it OK that they are only eating them at night/early morning? Or should I encourage them to also eat them at other times during the day?

It doesn't matter "when" they eat them. As long as they eat them.

I imagine if you left out the seeds until later in the day, you'd find them eating pellets ;)

But yes, nutrition is the same at 8am and 8pm.

My budgie, when I first introduced him to pellets would eat all the seeds around them during the day but then at night when he had run out of seeds he would stuff his face on pellets at night! As long as they're eating them then I guess it shouldn't matter too much when :)
