My cockatiel (female, 4yo) is unclipped but can't really fly. Well she can but only downwards so she's more like gliding and she can't land without crashing. How do I teach her how to fly better?

Was she clipped in her previous home? Was she allowed out of the cage and able to practice her flying skills?

I'd ensure her environment is bird-safe (no mirrors, windows are covered, no ceiling fans, etc) and that it has numerous places to land.
Be patient while she enjoys her newfound freedom and is able to practice with her wings.

She sounds like she’s still getting the hang of having the room and freedom to do it!
