I feel sorry for him being raised without any clutch mates. I try to keep him next to me several times a day. I know he gets lonely.

They are both very cute. Even though Kumquat doesn't have a clutchmate he does have a buddy waiting for him to get big enough and older so they can play together.

I make sure that they are around each other often. Caiques can be so witchy. I honestly will be happy when I’m able to quit using the microwave. She is my Velcro parrot. She definitely needs a friend.

No, I don’t. I just decided one day that I really wanted a caique. I decided on getting a pair. It took me several rounds of DNA testing through a couple of different clutches to find a boy.

I liked their personality although I do realize that birds are individuals and even though most seem to be silly clowns and very inquisitive others may not be like that. I was also warned that they could be aggressive towards other birds but that can be true of any type of bird.
