So he's finished his meds and his breathing has gotten better!

Hes had a wash (because he some meds on his face) and a preen!

Though I found some information about him. He's actually 7 or 8 according to his leg band, which I didn't know before! So he's an older man like busbee. Though he shows his age a lot more. :(

As for putting him back in the main cage I'm worried, I think blue is a little to forceful to him. Though he enjoyed his time out the cage on his own today (cheeks).

I think if the cage Cheeks is in now is suitable and he's happy in there then leave be. Let them socialise together and let Cheeks decide what cage he wants to call 'home'

@Ripshod good idea, I'm probably going to have give him the old conure cage, as the one he's in now is not suitable for long term usage.

I think he's got arthritis though as he's still wobbly and clumsy on he's feet...

I'll ring up vets this week and see what they suggest.

I know he's around 8 because of his leg band (which I didn't really understand before), but he's the same age as busbee and is completely different.

I'm sorry to hear that. Even if the vet confirms I'm sure that won't hold him back too much.

They are 2 different birds, thus, have 2 different genetics and body condition. My 2 year old got overweight, then blind, and died, while his older friend, on the same diet and flying time, kept fit and healthy.

He's quite the fighter! Bless him, though it would explain why he struggles to navigate his cage and doesn't preen his tail feathers.

Yeah that is very true! Also Ive had busbee since he was baby so maybe the lack of stress and decent diet has also played a part?

there is really no telling. The one who died was still a baby when I got him while the other one was adult so I suppose the adult one has been through more stress if he was in a pet shop or abandoned by his owner for that long, but he is the one still alive.

I don't think so. They are like us. Some people would manage to survive horrors and still go on leading a normal life, while others would be crushed and unable to function properly after something seemingly unimportant to us.
