Thank you all
Steve, I'm with Colin. Thankfully his clinic is only about 10 minutes away and he was great, spent about 45 minutes with us, explaining everything very thoroughly and we also talked at length about her diet and so on (he feels it's very good even though she's a picky eater). Yes, I do feel Ceddy's in good hands with him
Ceddy's taken her second dose of probiotics tonight OK after I added a bit of organic fruit juice and she's still eating OK and is now asleep - as always on her playstand until I put her to bed .
Hopefully by morning she'll show improvement and I'll be able to update away from the 911 section. I just really freaked this morning when she didn't call for me when I got up and she didn't want to come out of her cage at all, not even for sunflower seeds or walnut
omg I hadn't even seen this thread! How is Ceddy today Astrid? I know you are worried sick!
I will keep you both in my prayers. please keep us updated on her
Hi everyone, sorry, couldn't get to the internet sooner.
Ceddy's perking up
She still has diarrhoea, had one normal and some 'mixed' (part diarrhoea, some 'formed' parts) and so far no air bubbles in it - and she is still quiet (no calling etc) but she's definitely feeling better than yesterday and doesn't seem to be 'straining' either.
She's been out of cage several times, been preening more thoroughly, done a little foraging, chewed up some wooden peg halves (her favourite chewing foot toys) and even was looking for her bath tub on top of the cage. Since she doesn't know how to 'splash' herself, meaning that only her feet get wet if I don't 'assist' by spraying her, I gave it to her and she spent a bit of time playing in it .
She's still resting more than usual and seems to tire easily but definite improvement compared to yesterday, at least for now, let's hope she'll keep getting better.
Thank you all so much for your support, it does mean so much!!!
