I just have to cry on some bodies shoulder. I just went to the porch to get my cats food bowls and one cat was there with a little bird which he dropped at my feet. The poor things tail and wing feathers were missing and I thought it was dead. Then I could see it was breathing and it rolled over. I stood there dismayed , wondering what to do, but the cat picked it back up and killed and ate it quickly. I just feel so sad that domestic cats often don't make a quick kill and torture these wonderful creatures. My heart hurts for all the little birds they catch. I have them to control mice and rats in the barn and they're just being cats but I wish I didn't have to see these things. I'm going to get my gcc cheeky out now and hold her very close and love her
