I am a Jewish woman and I have a t a g and a Senegal parrots. Every year I light the menorah without giving it a thought. Last night I lit it and was concerned about the safety of my bird. I'm in a two story home do you think I could have them on one story while I light the menorah on the other floor or use air purifier

How long of time must the candles burn?
In the future look for unscented beeswax candles with 100% cotton wicks.

Just to be on the safe side I would buy battery operated menorahs.

You can get an electric menorah. The ones I have seen, though, are very cheaply made and don't generally hold up well. Worth way less than what they generally sell for.

You should not be “burning” anything with birds in the house. You will kill them.
