My poor little canary is a mess. I took him to the vet and she said he has multiple feather cysts. No recommendations what to do. I googled and found some reference to specific vitamins and minerals that may be helpful. Do any of you canary experts recommend dietary guidelines that may help him? Yes, I'm being lazy...I could look up what foods provide each of the recommended nutrients. But why reinvent the wheel when there are so many knowledgeable folks here? Thanks in advance.

I hope your birdie will be okay. I don't have any canary experience but I'm sure others will be able to answer.

I have a male canary and he gets feather cysts as well. From what I gather it is hereditary. Most common in softer feathered birds. I have been lucky so far in the respect that they seem to go away when the feather molts out.
