Except it would be nice if they did it in the late afternoon, early evening or when the weather is cooler. We are supposed to have a high of 102 with a chance of thunderstorms. So it should be a fun day...…...not
Least its a scheduled repair...I was really worried when it was 110 plus hoping people would conserve so we would not be in a dark oven...

Yikes!
just realized Palmdale!!! thats an oven... My plumeria got hit really hard with the 116/110.Carnage...my babies 10 year olds all burned & scarred & mutilated. Branches drying & falling off....
Hope they don't do that here too!

Was today the day you wanted to do the laundry or vacuum and couldn't?? LOL! That's what I do when our power is out, I want to do everything that takes electric!! At least it wasn't too late in the day to wait for it to be turned back on!!
I knew last week that we were not going to have power from 8am to 2pm as they upgraded a transformer in my area. However, just getting back from vacation and the site down last week it wasn't really great timing. However, I survived the heat. I got up at 6:45 and turned the AC on and it ran non stop till we lost power. I also kept all the blinds closed and it has been overcast most of the day which also helped. Now I am back to running the swamp cooler.
