is that from Savor Fresh Farms?
Those are so good, I never hesitate to buy when I see any of their melons.
you don't wait to ripen them, they are ready. Plus I find they are not as stinky as regular cantaloupes.

Didn’t look at the label. Yes it was ready and dripped juice all over the counter while I was cutting it! I made Jack eat a slice to see if it scratched his throat too but it didn’t!

the regular cantaloupes I used to buy would make my hands itch when I got juice on them. not my throat though. and the sugar kiss melons don't affect my hands or throat.

Fascinating! My throat still hurts! How do I decide if it affects BScoot the same way? He seemed to be okay but quit eating it abruptly after chowing down a bunch. Maybe he was full? I definitely can’t eat honey dew melon! Same itching reaction! Thanks for the article Debbie:)

My son has this since he was a kid. Kiwi, melon, almonds and walnuts affect him the most. Oh and of course hay fever.
Walnut gets me too! Very interesting!

I would bet he just got full. you haven't noticed any pollen allergy with him?
My OWA Polly gets a piece with the rind on, about the size of one of BScoot's pieces I see in his bowl (about 1/6 of a slice?), and she eats it till there's a paper-thin rind. She really thinks they are yummy, but I doubt her crop could fit more than 1 piece. Does BScoot's crop look full?
Sorry if you can't eat them yourself anymore. They are the most delicious melons I've ever come across!

Yum! Polly loves it too! ❤
No I haven’t noticed any pollen allergies with BScoot. So good I can give everyone a chunk tomorrow. I had done that today but removed it after my reaction.

If in doubt just don't give it to him again. Sorry that it irritated your throat. I've never even heard of that melon.
I tried cantaloupe and honeydew with the birds a few times but no one will eat those.

yep, that's exactly it! Save some for me and Polly!
My store didn't have any this week but I always look for them.
oh, and if you read all their websites, they are really big on food safety too!

Ok I will! There’s plenty for you and Polly!❤❤

I've never heard of sugar kiss melons. Hubby won't eat cantalope or honeydew so I don't buy them. Kiwi fruit makes my hand itch awful from the juices! ( I rarely buy them and the birds... eh... won't eat them!)
