Broken tail feather

I woke up this morning to find Lauren had managed to break one of her tail feathers.

Lauren is going through her first molt, and i’m pretty certain this feather was brand new.

I’ve read all about blood feathers, but the feather she broke isn’t bleeding. She doesn’t seem to be too bothered by it but doesn’t like me touching the feather.

I’m scared that the feather will start to bleed if I let it be, but also don’t want to make the situation worse.

Any ideas on what to do?

It doesn’t look like a blood feather, so you could snip it where it is broken, or it’s also okay to leave it. It will probably break off by itself soon.

It doesn't look like a blood feather so nothing to worry about, it will fall out when the correct time comes.
