Bleeding from nostrils

Our white canary, Gus, has a nosebleed. A search here found nothing about it. Do any canary people know what the possible cause might be? Sadly, we don't have access to a bird vet.

It is most likely an injury/trauma. If it is there's not much a vet can do for a bird that small anyway.

Is it still bleeding?

It seems to have stopped. Now we see blood under the Waterslager's beak. Looks like it's time to separate the Americans from the Brits!
