Biting!

Lately my little budgie Sunlight has taken to nibbling then biting. I think it's just rough play. I tried putting him off balance, but that went wrong yesterday when he just bit harder to stay attached. Today I thought I would try to catch him before he started playing rough, then give him something he likes to chew. At the moment his favourite toy outside the cage is the pen I am writing with. Seems to have worked - for today!

Designate an area where your bird can play, and put him there before he starts the nibbling.

How old is your bird? This is typical in a young bird that is maturing.
