what you will need:
end pieces of luffa
popped plain popcorn
favorite seed mix
paper to wrap
jute, raffia, butcher's twine

Sandra sent some luffa pieces for Sweet Pea & Bebe. seeing that Sweet Pea flings them like Frisbees, I wanted to come up with another toy that she has to work to get at.
I took the end pieces and stuffed the smaller end with popcorn pieces until the end is blocked, fill the cavity with some of their favorite seed mix. cover with a good size piece of paper, enough paper to make a twisted handle at the end. tie off with butcher's knot. put between the bars of the cage and let them have it.
Sweet Pea seems to enjoy shredding the daylights out of the paper. she gets a treat for her good shredding.
