Help, I've recently moved and my birds are suddenly interested in chewing cords again. I keep the cords/wires under my dresser, and I've been trying to keep them out from under that dresser. They also have many options of toys to play with, but those cords seem so inviting. Any ideas?
The cords are for my betta fish's tank, and I can't move him anywhere else in my room.

What about sleeves or covers for the cords?

Are you in a room where the birds will be supervised? There is something called "Flex Split Wire Conduit" It is made of plastic and hence it is not bird proof, but it is bird resistant and will give you some time to distract the bird if he/she starts to attack it. HERE is some I found on-line. It is sold at just about all auto parts stores.

It is split tube. You pull the split wider and slide the wire into the crack. The plastic will spring back and hide the wire. The split design is good because you will NOT need to cut or splice the wire.

There are more extreme solutions with armored wire but you will need to cut the plug off and attach a new end to the cord.

I am, but my family does let them out when I'm at work. I have it pretty blocked off now, but I will look into what you sent me.

Not sure whether to recommend or not. It is sometimes weird what attracts bird attention and what does not. It would take a while for lovebird or GCC to chew through the plastic. But if the bird was determined it could. Hopefully the bird would loose interest, but maybe not.
