The blackbirds back east used to get drunk off the cherry tree fruit..they would literally fall out of the trees. We couldn't believe it ..

It happens every year, but here in Sweden where we had a really hot summer = a lot of fruit, we see it more this year.
And we can help them. Give them food and water and protect them from bigger birds, rats, dogs and cats when they are drunk.
