I've tried looking an several sites to figure out what the heck it means when my bird lifts one wing and one leg on the same side.... they say its usually a greeting. Or that the bird is trying to warm up it's foot... (?)
But s/he's not really doing it as a greeting. It's after s/he's already been out of the cage for awhile, usually perched on one of our hands or arm. S/he did it once after being returned to the cage.
What is up with this motion??

Maybe it is a greeting. I just walked over and said hello and immediately was given a lifted wing and leg.... idk why he does it randomly tho...

They stretch after sitting still for a while(I believe to improve blood circulation). When you come in and they are resting, they might come to greet you and therefore first strech. I have also heard that they stretch to greet you, but I don’t Know if that is because they stop resting or if there’s another reason as well:)
