My hair dryer decided to die tonight and I need to purchase a new one to blow dry Squeeky after his showers. Any suggestions on what would be a good yet cost efficient one? What kind do you use? Thanks :D

You blow dry Squeeky?? :huh: Wow, I've never even thought of that.

I would just make sure that whatever model you choose, call up the company and ask if it contains Teflon. So many of them do nowadays :(

Yep I blow dry him all the time and he loves it. The one I had was like 25 years old and they didn't really use stuff like teflon back then.

I googled it and came up with this post from another board
Thank you for your inquiry regarding the availability of non-ionic/non-teflon, hair dryers. Just to let you know, not one of our hair dryers contains the teflon ooating you asked about; no need to worry about that with our Conair dryers. I have a few newer model's of hairdryers that I looked up for you that are "non-ionic" that you should consider.

Model #185R - (1875 Watt Styler) (full size);
Model #247X - (1875 Dryer) (medium size);
Model #127lz - (1875w), #124P - (1875w), #124A - (1600w)(smaller sizes with folding handles).

Thanks Chris. Will look into the Conair ones at Wally World or Target this weekend.

He may love it Miriam but I would seriously reconsider blow drying him after his showers...this can cause dry, irritable skin..and part of the reason tiels bathe is so they can distribute the oils etc throughout their feathers by themselves...I dont agee with blowdrying unless you are in a jamb.

I blow Truely dry too. She loves it.

When you find one, maybe Kathie can carry it in her bird safe store.

The problem is Squeeky likes to take showers but he doesn't like to be wet for too long. He gets cold easily. I don't blow dry him completely just help speed up the process. I also don't do it too close to his skin. So no worries :)

I will let you know what I find :)

Oh so I just emailed the Conair company to see what they had available that was bird safe. Waiting to hear back from them. I am also going to be calling them as well at around noon and see what they say.
