Hi,

We are really worried as our birds poop has changed from normal coloring (browny green with a bit of white and clear liquid) to having almost luminous yellow liquid instead. The main part is now light brown with a tint of yellow.

It has been like this for 2 days now. His diet has stayed the same but he has moved rooms which might have stressed him a bit. His behavior is also markedly different, as he is more stroppy and bitey, and is generally acting out much more.

He is 5 months old. Is this something we should take him to the vet for? Its our first bird.

I would definitely take him to the vet ASAP. The description you give of his poop is common for liver issues. He is very young for liver issues, but he may have gotten hold of something to eat that he should not have.

Go over everything you are using in your house and make sure none of these listed items are being used; Listing of Foods & Plants Toxic to Birds And don't forget that teflon is absolutely deadly for birds.
